FAQs

FAQs

Q:   Are you accepting new patients?

A: Yes, we currently have openings in our practice depending on your child’s age. Please fill out our ONLINE APPLICATION and our office will contact you within 2 business days. We try to keep our practice small and personable, so we have time to get to know each and every family and be readily available for our families when needed.

Q:   I have multiple children, do all need to be enrolled?

A: Yes. We do require that all children in your household join our practice.  This helps to ensure continuity of care and minimize confusion.

Q:   Do you take insurance?

A: No. Calabasas Pediatrics does not accept any insurance. Payment is due at the time of registration as we do not bill or collect from your insurance. We are considered out of network with all insurance companies. This allows us to be able to provide a higher level of care and spend more time with our families.  As a courtesy, we can help submit claims to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement sent directly to you. In some cases, we are able to use your insurance for vaccines, labs and other send out tests. Please check with insurance company for information on your out-of-network benefits.

Q:   How do I join the practice?

A: After reviewing our Care Plan Packages, please complete our ONLINE APPLICATION and our office will contact you within 2 business days.

Q:   Do you offer home visits?

A: Yes. We offer home visits for our families at an additional charge.

Q:   What services are included in the Care Plans Packages?  How much does it cost?

A: Pricing, benefits, and services for our physician’s Care Plans can be found here: Care Plan Packages.

Q:   Can I use my Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay?

A: Yes. We are happy to provide you with a receipt for all services.

Q:   Do I have to sign a contract?  How long is the commitment?

A: Yes.  Calabasas Pediatrics requires that all families sign an enrollment agreement with our practice.  The agreement is binding for 1 year from the date of signing.  Accounts will auto renew each year unless 30 days prior notification is given.

Q:   What hospitals are your pediatricians on staff?

A:Our pediatricians are on staff at Los Robles Regional Medical Center and Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center. They also work closely with pediatricians and specialists at other local and national hospitals including UCLA, CHLA and Cedars.

For newborns born at Los Robles or Tarzana Medical Center, our pediatricians will see your baby after they are born.  For newborns delivering at another hospital or birthing center, we have relationships with pediatricians and specialists at most locations to see your new baby for continuity of care.

If your child needs to be admitted to any hospital, we will directly communicate, help navigate and work closely with the hospitalist and specialists there.

Q:   Do you provide medical exemptions (such as vaccines or masks)?

A: No. We are unable to provide medical exemptions in the state of CA for vaccines or masks.
